One of my hobby projects for the last year or so is sharing my collection to family over the internet VIA RPI boxes I setup for them.
I have been able to accomplish this using FTP streaming with moderate success. There seems to be a stability nut I just can’t crack. The more research I do the more im pointed to the cause being my method of streaming.
So I would like to try alternatives:
uPNP
VPN into my home network and use SAMBA?
Would anyone be able to comment on either of the two methods or others i may not know of? There is a lot of talk around uPNP but there also seems to be some library-ing drawbacks. My connection speed is 10mbit upload so I should have no problem handling 1-2 viewers at a time, but im more interested in a stable option.
Thanks
