The problem is even with the same chipset, different brand / firmware make the products produce different result. It's one of disadvantage from using these chinese branded android box. Some problems need firmware fix which may or may not available for your brand. Maybe it will be available from other brand, Sometimes it can be cross-flash but not guaranteed.

OUYA Free was just XBMC on OUYA 12.3.1 (Frodo) which compiled by Koying. The thing is it made for OUYA which is Tegra3. Don't expect any miracle on Rockchip device.

If you insist , you can read XBMC for OUYA thread, there is few OUYA build released since 12.3.1 which is what OUYA Free distributes now.

It's a known issue, because of OUYA problem with decoding license , Koying has to disabled ac3/dts decoder. Read the thread carefully you would find that latest OUYA build is 12.3.3. OUYA Free was 12.3.1

The guy at OUYA Free doesn't do any coding. They just keep 12.3.1 build and distribute it.

There is 12.3.2 which still has ac3/dts enabled. There is SPMC which is XBMC on OUYA fork.
