I recently acquired Android ItaSee box CX 921, 4.2.2., RK 3188, 4core processor, 2GB RAM, but I am having difficulties when streaming 720p and 1080p movies on XBMC although my internet speed is normal. I installed regular Frodo. Device is rooted. I have no experience with Android devices. Any suggestion what might be wrong? Do I need to do additional setup or to install some other version of XBMC?

Make sure to run a
nightly build (wiki) of XBMC for Android for HD video playback.

Thanks. Do I have to use the latest one of 17 November? Also, under Android nightly builds there are two foders: x86 and Arm, which one I should use for my box?

ARM. 99% of the Android devices are ARM :)
I would try Nov 17, but if it has issues, then start going backwards. In theory, at this point, only fixes should be added to nightly builds and things should mostly improve each day, but sometimes one fix might cause another bug, so sometimes an earlier nightly might work better than a later one for a certain situation.

I tried 4-5 nightly builds, but so far no success. Should I go back in searching for some older builds?
