Release VideoExtras Addon
Oh, I should mention the location of the DialogVideoInfo.xml file is here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\XBMC\addons\skin.confluence\720p
@bek1: first things first. Try this DialogVideoInfo.xml . The control instructions are very sensitive to spacing and where you exactly locate them within the file. Let us know how you get on.

Obs: When you turn on debugging in the add-on itself, you have to confirm OK before quitting the add-on, so any changes are saved. For the log, you can always find it immediately and it is located: C:\Users\xbmc\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\xbmc.log then you can paste it and generate a link yourself at xbmclogs.com
Best,

Whoa, what the heck? That worked!

Man, I was learning Oracle 10 years ago, and one of the old timers said, "Oracle is like an ocean. You can only learn a tiny percentage of it." That's what I am starting to think XBMC is... this thing is a monster. lol

Thanks, Cap. Rob, Tang, thank you also. Your patience and help through this problem was much appreciated. Smile
Context Menus are on their way.....

I now have a beta available for VideoExtras that allows you to make use of that right hand mouse button (or the context menu button on your remote).

https://robwebset.googlecode.com/svn/rel...1.0.5b.zip

This beta zip will enable you to:
  • Mark a video as watched
  • Mark a video as unwatched
  • Change the title of an extra (Needs write access to the file-system to create or edit an NFO file)

Please can a few people take it for a test drive and let me know how it performs.

Thanks

Rob
Can this addon work for <musicvideo> content?

I don't have a lot of extras with concerts, but i do have some. I tried to just use the same method as movies, and no luck. The extras are not revealed in the info menus of the concerts. Does an additional set of regex entries need to be made for the AS.xml?

Not sure - not something that has been requested before - will look into it when I get a minute

Yes, that is by design - the Context menu is always the same - makes it easier for each re-skinner - still accurate in that will will start from 00:00

Not sure what you mean - what are you running - I did the testing on Frodo 12.3 - confluence.

Hey Rob,

Much appreciated. I know this new support is something many will welcome and use!

Just for the record:
  • Mark a video as watched [CHECKED]
  • Mark a video as unwatched [CHECKED]
  • Change the title of an extra [FAILED]

Hi Rob,

Seems that nobody has tested/confirmed the implementation you've done, however I must ask, what do you mean by DVD images exactly (what formats exactly)? I have tested 2 structures that work perfectly (not sure if this is what you mean or are there more formats yet to be tested?):

1) DVD ISO image (<movie>.iso) [Location of 'Extras' folder/tag: same directory containing the DVD ISO file]
2) VIDEO_TS folder [Location of 'Extras' folder/tag: within VIDEO-TS folder]

obs: same locations for TvTunes' Themes folder

Could this new addition perhaps take us closer to support extras for Blu-Ray ISOs/folders as warlion pointed out in post #180?
Best,

capfuturo

Did you do the skin changes?

These character codes are a real pain - will try and take a look.

The ISO I belive was always supported, the VIDEO_TS folder was the new addition, requested via:

http://code.google.com/p/robwebset/issue...d=37&can=1

I think the other post may have been taling about, if you have a VIDEO_TS folder, where do you put the extras files? (Where should they be put?)

No need, it's there by default. Works fine here without forcing the button.

The addition of:

Code:
<defaultcontrol always="true">51</defaultcontrol>

Was for keyboard navigation support, maybe try:

Code:
<defaultcontrol>51</defaultcontrol>

Instead and let me know how you get on.

Thanks

I have made a change so that extras should now be picked up in either the VIDEO_TS folder or the parent folder:

Risky Business/VIDEO_TS/Extras
Risky Business/Extras

http://code.google.com/p/robwebset/source/detail?r=295

I don't have any Blu-Ray images, so if some-one wants to let me know the directory structure for a given disk, then I can always look at adding it.
