After stopping xbmc and ServerWMC, the wtv file played perfectly, showing the correct program segment. The ts file played, but gave me a black screen.

If you can, please upload this wtv file to this folder:

https://drive.google.com/?authuser=0#fol...zFhZmNPWUE

and post a link here when its there. Thanks.

Thanks for the upload. The wtv file is copy protected, that's why the ts file is black. I am not sure why our code did not detect that it is protected, I will need to look into that some more. But if you try to play this wtv file with xbmc directly, I think you will find that it fails. Also if you move this wtv to a different computer wmc or wmp won't be able to play it there either.

Sorry no. The file is drm'd, so we can't play it. The channels content may not always be protected, but the clip you sent me definitely is. Only wmc and wmp will be able to.

It looks to me like the system clock on your client is not in sync with the server. The log shows that the server time is 23:53 but the client is asking for EPG entries from the past (Which arent in the EPG anymore) - time range of 21:57 - 22:57

2013/12/04 23:53:27.329 Received client request: Registv|GetEntries|64637|1386194274|1386370674
2013/12/04 23:53:27.352 no entries found, channelD8, startTime: 21:57, endTime: 22:57

Setting the clocks got you past the first hurdle as some channels/shows actually got sent to your client.

Aart from some failed streams with unknown video etc, there are some cases then where the backend was happy and created the WTV and TS file and sent the following back to the client

'\\REGIS-PC\Users\Public\Recorded TV\TempXBMC\LiveTV_Registv_DVB-T_4_2013_12_05_12_46_54.ts'

the clint then reported it couldnt open that file. Have you setup the credentials properly? Is the directory shared in windows? What OS is your server and client?

So turning off Pre-Start Tuners and then rebooting the entire system has resolved it.

Thank you VERY much. FINALLY, LiveTV on my XBMC.

No, I don't think its working. Once you choose the cable tuner then later try to choose the OTA tuner, the OTA tuner will fail. My code has a bug with your exclusive tuner setup, it doesn't fully release the one tuner so when you try to start the other it will fail. Rebooting releases both (actually running wmc might too).

Actually, I have rebooted about 5 times. and according the the log, the tuner is not in use.

2013/12/26 15:30:44.631 SetChannel> > tuner is available (taking tuner from ) => stopping search

I think it's this...
2013/12/26 15:30:47.873 StreamStartError> client '192.168.1.4' reports error opening stream, will close stream down
2013/12/26 15:30:47.873 StreamStartError> client '192.168.1.4' path to stream file: 'smb://Mike:*********@Mike-pc/c/Users/Public/Recorded TV/TempXBMC/LiveTV_192.168.1.4_Cable_2_2013_12_26_15_30_44.ts'
