Hi guys, any help gratefully appreciated.

I've set up xbmc (and checked it against several guides, that all tell me to click the same boxes), and I've set up my htc the same, but all I get is a socket connection timeout.

I've tried to connect to xbmc via chrome on the pc and it can't even do that.

Any tips on where I've gone wrong? Driving me freakin nuts

to add a bit more info, when I woke this morning and tried again, with xbmc turned off on the pc, there is now a 3rd option when trying to connect that is "turn on your xbmc power on"

I don't see why you're posting in this section - looks like it should be in the general help, with more detail about the setup you're using (as this might be relevant)
