What is the Development status?

Just wondering what development status is. I can see on github there has been no action for a while. Did the devs stop work, or is there a plan to update the app at all?

I'm wonder that as well, I just changed from iOS to Android and I don't like the GUI as much as I did with iOS so I might as well go back to iOS if there aren't any updates for the Android remote app.

Currently it indeed seems like there is no update to the remote any longer.

However - I can highly recommend YATSE from the playstore!
Here is a link to it:

For some applications I prefer this remote, but both are good and have their own virtues

For the sake of completeness, here's the link of the repo that will be the base of the next version of the official remote, which will be a rewrite from scratch. I've been working on this the last couple of months, mainly plumbing work and research. It's still far from alpha but I'm working regularly on this now, so eventually something will come out of this one day.
Running XBMC on my HTPC, tablet, phone and pinball machine.
