is there anyway to set it to scan for the videos on my selected data drives so that i dont have to browse through folders for the videos? I dont mean for movies, but videos.. Currently i have to select the hdd.. and the movies are in folders.. i want it to pull the videos only and show me thumbnails... Sort of like how Windows MEdia Player does it.. Please help..

See adding videos to the library (wiki) for the full process. Basically, you define a source folder with a scraper, and XBMC scans the videos to the library.

If I am correct, the scraper retrieves metadata from the internet (Coverart, etc right?). I dont like to use the scraper for this.. I just want it to scan my pc for the videos and have it make it's own thumnbails for the videos.
