Audio Settings & Video Output

I'm looking under system-settings trying to change the resolution but it won't let me. It's stuck on 1280X720p. I want to change to it to 1920X1080p. I also have no Display Mode listed above the resolution like I see in the Wiki. The only options I have in System-Settings are Resolution & Video calibration. Under Audio-Settings volume & volume amplification are grayed out. What's causing this and how can I fix it? Thanks.

Android box, right? Are you running a 1080 Android ROM? Also, I think the GUI is always rendered at 720 for most Android boxes, but the video will use 1080 if you are running a 1080 Android ROM.

Yes it is an Android box so that can possibly explain why I can't change it. I've also noticed the reason I can't adjust the audio is because it's on pass thru. can I take it off pass thru or is it recommended for this to be on. I'd like to take it off pass thru and toy with it to see what sounds best. Right now I'm not quite sure to get it off pass thru.
