Yeah, logging in/not logging in makes no difference but I found the problem in the end. This plugin will only work if the default video file selection action is "play" or "choose". I have mine normally set to "info" as I like to see the info page of a movie when I click on it.
Kinkin's FTV plugin doesn't have this bug and is nicer to use than the Filmon one.

Main advantage on ftv for logging in is you can record and watch up to 10 hours free
