Play Back freezes 54 mins into Blu-Ray ISO movie
#1
OK
Runing 3.2.4
Mounted a blue-Ray .iso over NFS from windows box (running freeNFS)
Playing through to my AMp (with passthough)

Plays absloutely fine, (really impressed) UNTIL 54 mins in:
The audio drops out, then picture freezes about 3-4 secs after.

This is completely repeatable... provided you start playing a minute or to before the freeze,
if you start about 2 secs before audio drop out it play the audio and the video carries on!

So I repeated the play back to get the freeze, and have posted the log 95822.

Any idea why the omxplayer freezes, CPU etc are about 60%.

Thanks guys
(tried playing the .iso on my windows version of XBMC (offical release) played fine, directly from the disk tho)

Looks like an audio decode error.
Can you try with passthrough disabled?

Tried it, with DTS and AC3 recied not supporting (so no passthrough)
and it didn't hang!

How can I halp you now solve the decoder error?

It sounds like there is a DTS packet in the stream that the GPU doesn't like.
Maybe it's corrupt, maybe it just uses some different encoding options.

I need to get hold of that packet.

Can you produce a sample file (e.g. one minute) that includes that error?
Perhaps using makemkv to produce an mkv file, and confirm that fails in the same way (I think it will).
Then you can use mmg (from mkvtoolnix) to produce a shorter sample.

ill have go, also just upgraded (again :-)) to newest version of 13, and it behaves differently
With no passthrough it works like 3.2.4, BUT with passthrogh on and dts and ac3 selected
the video will freeze at an earler point (about .75 sec earlier) then start again! BUT can't confirm the audio until I move the RPI back to where the amp is!

anyway produced a debbug log for it too 95976

Can you try this test build:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3669...rt_dts.elf

It has a fixed 256M/256M memory split. Replace your existing start elf file with it.

It seems to fix you test case, but it could cause other issues.
Let me know if you can play the whole of your Blu-Ray.

OK tried with Frodo 3.2.4
the original MKV I sent you now plays...

BUT The ISO image still hangs

I have uploaded the log its 96914

I tried creating a longer .mkv file and it played ok to!

Also tried with lastest MH and Rbej builds, new dts start elf fixes the mkv files
but not the .iso

With the latest Milhouse xbmc crashes at the start of the movie about 2 mins in.
(and new start_dts.elf)

I will post in the main thread, hope thats ok.
