Android client

For Gotham pvr.wmc should be being built automatically soon, Frodo will never see it built unless someone takes the initiative to build it for Frodo, seeing that Gotham isn't even in beta yet Frodo will still be around for a while. My thoughts are that a Frodo build would be more beneficial than a Gotham build. OTOH Android isn't officially supported in Frodo so is it a priority? I use both so it really doesn't make much difference to me.

'Soon' is taking a long time.

Dilligaf, are you going to try scarecrow's android client in your Ouya?

I will be trying it later tonight once I get home with a HTC Rezound, and maybe also an OG Droid. (Doubt it can handle it though)

Works fine on my Nexus 4 but not on my Nexus 7 (1st gen). Both running nightly from Dec 25th. Nexus 4 all works fine. Nexus 7 XBMC just crashes when trying to play a show.

Can it play live tv or recordings smoothly? Thanks for reporting btw.

I get an 'unknown error' as soon as I hit enable. I installed from zip and by hand. I looked for a log, but can not find one. Android is 4.3.1 running cyanogen mod ROM. Running latest xbmc nightly from 12/27.

This is the error from your log

19:39:15 T:1553993744 ERROR: Unable to load /storage/sdcard0/Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc/addons/pvr.wmc/libXBMC_WMC.so, reason: dlopen failed: couldn't map "/storage/sdcard0/Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc/addons/pvr.wmc/libXBMC_WMC.so" segment 2: Operation not permitted 19:39:15

Not sure what it means, could there be a permission problem? Seems unlikely if it's a freshly installed nightly. What device is it out of interest?

I only recently just set up WMC as PVR when I re-installed my HTPC, I was using NextPVR. Just to get it working was a pleasure. I haven't got it set up fully yet since hitting xmas.

The Nexus 4 played any channel I tried without an issue but didn't like a channel change during playback.
I currently don't have any HD channels to try.

Trying a recored show crashed it like it did on the Nexus 7.

If I get chance I will dig out the logs and upload. Can't promise anything though sorry.

On Kindle Fire running CM 4.3.1, Gotham 11 alpha plug-install fine although after enabling LiveTV, plug-in becomes disabled and it won't stay enabled. On Droid Razr, plug-in stays enabled however XBMC crashes as it appears to be loading EPG. I'll try and upload some logs

I tried installing the Christmas nightly build on xperia Z running Android 4.3 however no luck with pvr.wmc there is an error pvr.wmc is not running and I wasn't able to access the logs as i found out I dont have root access to the phone.

I also tried the latest nightly build but it is still not working.

It is promising that others have managed to get it working.
