How do I login to the shell using putty
#1
I just loaded XBMC to my Raspberry Pi and want to edit my config.txt file. When I tried to login with a username of xbmc it asked me for a password which I left blank and hit return. unfortunately it keeps asking me for a password.

Thanks for the reply, I loaded openelec and with a little more research I was able to open the shell using root as user and openelec as password. thanks again

I just ironically had to load openelec to get an old box migrated to XBMC12.2 working.
This through me a bit and I had to search for that.
Be aware, that the /userdata folder is in a location a bit unintuitive as well and I found there are a few openelec quirks to get familiar with.
