Dear Team-XBMC,

I am running xbmc approx. 2 years
2 years ago i was searching for a better multimedia solution than my dreambox. and i was found: it IS xbmc

but i am (and my wife too) a little bit unhappy with the Live TV navigation and how to get EPG informations and other Live TV stuff
so i was creating an example to show team-xbmc (and other forum-readers) my opinion for this and hoping for a discussion (and hoping for some changes in xbmc...):

i needed some time for xbmc v13 (alpha) with xvdr - but now it is working!

i have downloaded your xml-file from http://cloud.github.com/downloads/jenkin...remote.xml and placed it under .xbmc/userdata/remote.xml
the pvr navigation is better - thx a lot - for example:

live tv is streaming (full screen):
pressing guide - and i can see die current running program - also in the correct focus. pressing ok and i can see the epg - nice!

pressing "channel list" - and i can see any program-list - but no correct channel-focus - the correct channel-focus should be nice for searching similar programs for example.
but when i press "guide", xbmc jumps to the correct epg from the running live-tv-channel - nice!

missing:
epg infos without running a live tv stream
epg info from another channel as the current running live stream via channel list. (navigate to another channel and pressing guide jumps every time to the epg from running live stream...)

The guide button will take you to epg infos without running a live tv stream.
If you change skin to spacemonkeys confluence mod you will get epg description in timeline view

I just stumbled on this thread in a quest to find a better way to navigate the epg and while I am at it, improve my WAF. I am really loving xbmc but we can be honest that the pvr functionality in general needs some work and specifically navigating the epg lacks the most basic features that I took for granted in regular stb or microsoft media center. The remote.xml that you posted over at openelec, will it work with my window boxes with xbmc installed?
