Linux [Solved] - Sound in XBMC but not XBMCBuntu
#16
Press: "+" ... xbmc volume is just muted.

Movie is using passthrough, so your AVR controls that.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Following the exact same steps my Optical Output is still not working. I cannot copy past in XTERM.

But i have three devices:
card 0 - device 3: HDMI
card 1 - device 1 Analog
card 1 device 1 Digital

As such I have created asound.conf:

pcm.!default {
type plug
slave {
pcm "hw:1,1" #delete the first hash for sound over hdmi
rate 48000
}
}

Eventhough I have rebooted still no sound. Any suggestions?

XBMC works ofcourse.
