Well I've finally gotten my shared folders in my Homegroup to show up in Xbmc. I had to manually type in name of computer or ip address to get it to work. I see my movie folders on xbmc and when I click on it I get and "invalid argument" message. Anyone out there gotten this message or know what to do to fix it? Thanks.

Homegroup? If this is Windows Homegroup then Im not surprised, XBMC doesn't support MS-HGRP protocol, that I know of. Use SMB. Lookup on wiki

short answer: turn of "simple file sharing" in windows.
