while xbmc gotham is probably still months away,
we're already considering making some changes to the skinning engine for our gotham+1 release.
due to hard to resolve issues with angled labels in combination with dirty regions,
it's been suggested to remove the <angle> feature.
many skins are currently using it to rotate labels/buttons in either DialogNumeric.xml or MusicVisualisation.xml.
instead of using <angle> we'd like to suggest to use a rotate animation, which *should* have to the same effect.
anyone aware of any possible issues if we decide to go this way?
are there are things you can do with <angle> that can't be done with a rotate animation?
