If I switch from one movie to another, I find I can switch back with a pop-up dialog "Resume from HH:MM:SS" which is awesome, but it doesn't always work. If I restart the system, I don't think it always works and it might be that it never works.

Could someone point me in the direction of where XBMC looks to determine whether to show this dialog?

It works but sometimes it dos not, however, you should pastebin a debug log (wiki) As so far you complain but without logs is as it never happened.
