I have just installed the server and clients. They are working well. Thanks.

I have noticed that when I restart the computer and log in, the server app starts up, changes the channel to 13 on one of my STBs and then starts a background recording. No clients are connected yet and when I "exit" the server app, it also stops this background recording. When I connect the first client it uses this same STB for the stream, changes the channel and works fine.

My questions is: is there a way to turn off the server app starting this background recording upon boot/login and only start when a stream is requested?

The reason I ask is that it is just constantly working the "recording" hard drive even when it should be idle.

Do you have "Pre-start tuners" enabled or disabled on the "Live TV" tab in ServerWMC? If it's enabled, try disabling it and restarting ServerWMC.
