"script failed" with all addons
#1
I have several XBMC installations on several platforms which work fine. Recently I installed V12.3 on Vista and I get a "Script failed" with any add-ons...
Whatever I do I still get this error. Help would be appreciated!!

Try this in the userdata (wiki) theres temp folder and delete commoncache.db also in userdata (wiki) delete addons15.db

Known Vista problem.
Maybe try a nightly version. It may solve it, no one knows.

uNiversal, Thank for replying!
Well, looked into it and under userdata there is no "temp" folder nor any of the files mentioned… does this information helps?

I will try that, thanks Martijn. Strange -I have another machine running XBMC over Vista with no problems...

The liveleak addon throws an error because one of its components is missing. Can you try removing that addon ?

can't access the log from work but if you still have issue with Windows Vista and Gotham install you are just out of luck.

I started with 12.3, removed it and installed 12.2 which I have working fine on another vista Machine.
Problem is the same. BTW is there a tool for cleaning the system of old versions?
I remember now that there was a much older version installed on this machine from years ago...

Thanks again. Have tried nightly builds etc- no change.
I will fiddle with it a little longer and see if I get something. As for a cleanup tool, do you know of any?

Are you completely missing the fact that xbmc does not work well on vista?
