Which NUC to buy? - i3 Haswell or i5 Ivy Bridge
#1
I'm considering making an NUC purchase today. I read the forums and a bit gun shy to purchase the newer NUC version considering the video and audio problems that some people have had. This said, which would you choose?

1) Intel D34010WYK Core i3 NUC Barebone (2013 model) - $289.99 @ Fry's

2) Intel NUC Core i5 DC53427HYE Barebone (2012 model) - $319.00 @ Fry's

Thanks!

I guess it depends on what is important to you, the new nuc has headphone jack, and infared remote control sensor, also I hear the celeron version has plenty of power for htpc duties if you want to save some cash..

You also have to take in extra cost for power cable, memory and hard drive (if you dont want to use openelec from usb)

I'd go the haswell model myself, the inbuilt IR sensor makes it a no braine
