web interface not working
#1
Hi

I allow XBMC gotham alpha 9 in my firewall in windows 7 64 bit

but I can't access the web interface from my own browser, using my ip address and correct port...

I already enable the options in
-webserver
-zeroconf
-remote control

I tested it on windows 8, using the same pc with a new xbmc installed and it works

Also...
There is nothing wrong with my router setup
cos I tested on another pc with xbmc installed, and using the same router

I tried changing the ports and it doesn't work either

someone help me solve this..

Have you tried connecting to the web interface from the Win 7 PC on which XBMC is installed? so you can try:

localhost:portnumber

This would eliminate any network issues.

I think the eventserver and web server, or json might not be loading properly..

It looks like the webserver is started from the log, but I don't really know what to expect in the log for the webserver.

If you can't even connect via localhost then that suggests to me that something is blocking the port on the PC.

If you've tried changing the port then it could be firewall or anti-virus software on the PC blocking the port, have you tried temporarily completely disabling any firewalls or anti-virus software to see if you can then connect?

yeap

tried disabling all firewalls - windows and third party one..

I tried changing to different ports..

yeah I think something is blocking or prevent xbmc from going through the port..
I can't figure out what is ..
since I disable all firewalls, I don't know why it still won't connect...

Here's a windows 8 log, which allows webserver, zeroconf connection to xbmc..

This windows 8 is running on the same problem pc, but on another hdd
and everything works, including a xbmc remote control apps, web browser etc..
