Is it still possible to install only 12.2 frodo?

Yes it is a totally clean new install, on a 6.0.2 (if i remember correctly) downgraded by seasonpass to 5.3 and untethered about 1 week ago. As I mentioned B4, all I have done so far is to put the hosts blocks in place.
It's a pity that Nito doesn't have the ability for the user to choose which version to install, I.E> 12.2 12.3...
I do a hell of a lot of googeling and the reason's that concern me are the amount of posts I have read where others have had real problems with downgrading, I truly believe that if it works great for some it will go tits up for me.... lol.
That's one of the reason's why I try to get everything as precise as possible before going ahead with anything. (the old adage measure twice and cut once, and maybe measure once again just to make sure).
After all my googeling I'm surprised that I cannot seem to find or locate some plain basic instruction to downgrade as a first time install, and some of the items that I have found are obviously not from this site, and most of what I have found date back to 2012 or before, so I don't really feel like using what I have read elsewhere and then only to come back here, "Cap in hand" asking for help.

Thanks for replying Ned, I'm going to take some gabapentin, I'm on my 2nd day of a tinnitus attack..... It ain't nice mate.... I try to do all my research and then the one or two days where I have silence, that's when I try to work on the hardware side of things. That's one of the reason's my sentences may seem a little garbled or back to front, it's just very difficult to concentrate.

Hi Ned....
I have finally given in and decided I have no choice but to install 12.3 and then downgrade........ I have made a small list of items that I wondered If you wouldn't mind putting your eyes over just to make sure I have not made any errors.... Most of the information has been taken from the "How To" list,

to install 12.3

apt-get install wget
wget -O- http://apt.awkwardtv.org/awkwardtv.pub | apt-key add -
echo "deb http://apt.awkwardtv.org/ stable main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/awkwardtv.list
echo "deb http://mirrors.xbmc.org/apt/atv2 ./" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/xbmc.list
apt-get update
mkdir -p /Applications/AppleTV.app/Appliances
apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2
mkdir -p /Applications/XBMC.frappliance
reboot

to downgrade

1) rm -f *xbmc*.deb
2) wget http://mirrors.xbmc.org/apt/atv2/deb/org...os-arm.deb
3) dpkg -i *xbmc*.deb
4) rm *xbmc*.deb

5) reboot HuhHuhHuh
DO I need to place a reboot on to the end of this downgrade? I just wondered because it's not mentioned in the wiki.
Also are there any remnants left behind from 12.3 when I do the downgrade, plus I also watched a video where someone downgrading used Nito to remove XBMC, I am not going to do this but I just wondered what your thoughts were on using Nito for this procedure.
Two last item's, what Repo's would you recommend that would be safe for me to use, (while I am sorting out my NAS). And do you think it would be a good idea to change my password for the ATV?

Many thanks for your time / Intelligence / Patience..... Cheers mate.
