Tongue  Official xbmc remote functions on iOS 7
Post: #1
Hello

Previously I've used Yatse and found plenty useful features. Some of them were highly useful in daily use and I'm afraid the official remote is missing those. On the other hand I find the way the official remote does things sometimes better. Just to make sure I haven't overlooked something I created this thread to ask what's there, what's possible and post a feature request.

  1. access to settings? Yatse enabled to toggle full screen, select outputs, etc. quite a must because xbmc isn't rock stable and hdmi recognition is a bit buggy with different receivers/tvs.
  2. Is there a jump to now playing button and view in the iOS app?
  3. video options to enable/disable subtitles etc. is is there? An anticipated question because I haven't had the time to play video with the remote yet.
  4. if so, how do you people display lyrics for music when listening?

Using it for the first time I'm awfully missing:

Sorting option(s) by artist. When I browse my music archive by genre the albums are sorted by album name and no possibility to change that?!

Access to the search menu is tedious at best. It vanishes so quickly you can hardly input data. And the only way to access it is to scroll to the top. Quite a mess when the library is populated with 100+ entries. Or is there another way?
