Untethered JB the issue does not exist. As soon as p0sixspwn is installed the issue starts.

I imagine it's an issue related to the jailbreak but figured i'd ask anyway if there is a way to fix it. either way the home folder in not clickable to install repos/etc.

i can't see anything obvious with the file permissions of /var/mobile

Do you mean tethered jailbreak it does not exist?

I am having the same issue only after installing the 5.3 untether.
