Win 10 Bit Anime- No video only on XBMC ver 12.3
#1
Hello Everyone,

I'm using XBMC ver 12.3 running on a Windows based HTPC with the following specs:

Pentium [email protected]
NVIDIA GT430
4GB RAM

Whenever I play 10bit Anime, or even 10bit HD movies for that matter, the screen turns black for the video. But the audio plays fine, and the subtitles even come out. I've read that starting ver 12.0, 10bit should be supported, so I was wondering why it's not playing on my system. Is there anything else I need to change in the settings?

Can you get us a debug log (wiki) of when you play a Hi10P video?

I have a large library of Anime and a large number of them been 10bit encodes. I'm having no trouble playing them. Something other than XBMC is causing your problem, for the std install works fine.

Specs: i5, Nvidia GT430, 16gb RAM, Windows 8N

Your debug xbmc.log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=110148
Your XBMC crashlog: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=110149

Really appreciate any help you guys can give. Big Grin

Turn off DXVA. That should fix it. And if your CPU can't handle HD vid using the CPU alone, then you will have to re-encode the anime or get it from another source.

Use Gotham. It uses all CPU cores for hi10p automatically. DXVA should not be used automatically
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
