I have tried some of the newer Nightlies and the problem with slow playback persists. I have not been able to make it crash though.

It made it through with no crashes for me during the big game last night, which was great because we had some guests over. Thanks Krusty and crew!

Maybe the chance of it crashing is directly proportional to how good the game is Smile.

@ijourneaux

Ian found a problem related to the playback in newer gothams also, we are thinking it is the same thing you are seeing. He found that from this nightly:

XBMCSetup-20140109-3751d14-label-settings-fixup.exe

and later, his problem occurs.

Since your problem is reproducible, can you confirm by checking this nightly to see if it has the problem? Then if it does, check the one before it to see if its okay? This would be a good bit of data to enter into the bug report, if you can confirm it.

thanks.

I was able to confirm that the playback issue is not present in

XBMCSetup-20140109-3751d14-label-settings-fixup.exe

I will be installing the a newer nightly and confirm that the playback issue reoccurs. I will updat ethe Bug report.

Krusty Have you heard any update regarding the playback issue with later gotham nightlies

No. When we have done these in the past we get updates to the bug ticket when the xbmc team looks at the problem. So far though there there has no response from them on this ticket. It would be nice to know if they are going to take a look at it.

Started using the Margro fast Channel switching build. Been watching TV with it for a couple of days now.. I haven't observed the servere stuttering I was seeing earlier.

which nightly is the latest margro's based on though? It could perhaps be from before that known problem started>?
