Hi guys

I am a complete noob to XBMC and was wondering if anybody could help me.

I have XBMC installed on my PC at home but the PC is not connected to my TV. I have a number of external hard drives and use the PC on a regular basis so I'm not really prepared to hook it up to my TV as my wife watches the TV and to be honest it makes like easier for me this way!!!

Unfortunately I have an Apple TV 3 so I can't jailbreak it and install XBMC!

My solution is to hook my wife's laptop to the TV and connect to XBMC on the PC remotely. I have Team Viewer installed on both machines but I notice that it can lag from time to time.

So my question really is can I connect to XBMC on my PC using the laptop without using Team Viewer or similar programs?

Why don't you install on the laptop xbmc and sync both computers with MySQL?

Does the PC really need to be on 24/7 though as per the website?

I will keep your files on you pc you still need your pc on to be able to watching on the laptop
