Kodi from within a Windows Openstack Instance
#1
As you all know, I have been playing with Openstack since last year. Right now, this is my long term set-up (v2.0):

**18 Nodes Total, provisioned with MAAS & Juju

**3 Dedicated Compute Nodes (8-core CPU 32GB RAM each); with 5 mode nodes coming up later this year...

**15 Storage Nodes (Dual-Core, 8GB RAM; and a couple Single Core - 2GB RAM and one 6-core 16GB RAM), 768TB Total installed storage

with additional services (mysql, neutron, keystone, etc.) spread over the whole of 18 nodes as needed.

Although this setup will be used for all my needs, I wanted to test few scenarios:
a) Running a Windows 7 Instance and installing Kodi, then using a VNC client access the instance remotely and accessing kodi that way
b) Running kodi/headless docker instance
c) Running a GNU/Linux instance and running PlexMediaServer on top.
d) Running a PlexMediaServer docker instance

Any thoughts...?

Why are you wanting to run kodi on it? Are you plugging this server into your tv? If not, you don't need kodi. You need a file serving protocol like smb or nfs.
