Linux [Raspberry Pi ] Menu GUI sounds

Does any version for Raspberry Pi have GUI sounds?

I know I tested some early on that had GUI sounds but seems none I have seen lately have GUI sounds.

Is there any official deb repo or full system for the PI that may have it?

It's fairly easy to produce a build with gui sounds:
https://github.com/popcornmix/xbmc/commi...91667f8913

but it involves enabling audioengine which is quite heavyweight.

I do have a plan to implement GUI sounds more cheply with the (currently mostly dummy) PiAudio backend, but it's not high priority.

And, there's like two sounds - a bip and a whoosh. You're not missing a lot...

I know this is an older thread but has there been any changes/advancements to this?

When using CEC, sometimes there's a slight lag with a button press and the Pi receiving it. Usually it's not an issue but there are those times that a key press seems to go unnoticed so you press it again, and again, when all the while it has been thinking and it then gets confused.

This works in the development builds, though Gotham only.
So, try a test build provided in this forum, compile from master or other dev branch, or wait for Gotham to be released.
