@sonic: only tvheadend, it is the only addon that internally converts teletext subtitle pages to raw text subs. That's why they use XBMCs font settings instead of the bone-ugly teletext font. I'm not sure how other backends do it or how XBMC handles that.

Maybe the flags or language of the subtitles change. I have no live tv setup yet, so I can't test that. But then stopping playback between shouldn't help. Can you please test that?

From my short test, live tv subtitle never fails if i start a channel from stop, only when zapping it fails (and not all the time) Don´t know if a log would help ?

No, not really. I'm no expert. I have noticed too that sometimes when I switch to a channel the subtitles are supposed to be enabled (they are but they don't show), after I switch between them they start displaying. Don't know if it's the same issue or if it's related somehow.

That's likely a problem with the player, not the tvheadend addon.
