Probably as it runs Android 4.1, the prototype was running a Rockchip SoC and that may not have changed, there is million of those Rockchip sticks all over the place.
But how well it runs XBMC is another matter, there where also bugs in the Rockchip Android media decoding system in relation to XBMC, I think those have been solved but the fixes from Rockchip must be in the Android ROM which usually means the stick should be running latest version of Android from Rockchip.
