It looks like the issue with this box is getting the nvidia drivers/GFX working correctly.

Either with bumblebee or the nvidia drivers. Being able to switch or force the nvidia graphics.

Definitely struggling with this one!

Shame this is not working as expected with linux, I'm not sure if you saw it but you got a reply in your nvidia forums thread. Looks like they blame the ASUS bios for your error.

I was considering this as my new HTPC too but first it turns out not to be fanless and then there are these linux issues...

I hadn't actually noticed them replies so thanks (I'd kind of given up!)

In terms of it being fanless I honestly don't notice the fan currently when using the Intel graphics. Obviously can't say how loud it is when using the nvidia graphics.
