EMM not seeing .wtv files
#1
I'm having trouble getting EMM to see my .wtv files. It sees the other .mp4 and .mkv files in the directory, just not the .wtv files.
In settings-options-file system-valid video extensions, I have added .wtv as a valid extension.
I've checked using mediainfo that it can read the metadata from .wtv.
There are no errors in the log indicating that it tried to read the files and failed.

Is there a step that I am missing?

Nope.
I think MediaInfo can't handle this video format.

Please try it with MediaInfo standalone version and tell me what the software can read: Link

As I feared no duration information (no <Duration_String>).
We can not change the fact unfortunately.

But if you upload a small sample file i will try to test/read all other informations in Ember.

Thank you. It may also be that this file is encrypted because it is from HBO. I'm trying to find a scraper that will take care of renaming and downloading posters, etc. for encrypted .wtv files. Otherwise, I use MCEBuddy to convert the .wtv's to .mp4's and all of the scrapers have no issue with those.
