seek delay in recorded tv, gui vs. file manager
#1
nPVR 311 backend, with latest patches.
XBMC gotham nightly frontend, with nextPVR PVR add-on
all on windows 7

Scheduled recording and live tv watching work properly. The funny thing is that when watching a .ts recorded from nPVR through the LIVE TV / Recordings "gui" (for lack of a better term), seek times, for example to skip ahead through commercials take ~7 seconds to process. So a commercial starts, I click skip ahead, and nothing happens for 7 seconds, then it resumes playing 30 seconds ahead.

When playing the same file through the SETTINGS / File Manager, the same skip ahead seek time is nearly instantaneous.

This has led me to watching all live tv (even recordings currently in progress) through the file manager. Is there anyway to achieve the performance of the file manager experience in the easier to navigate LIVE TV interface? Is something configured wrong?

Thank you!

The NextPVR API won't let you watch LiveTV directly using file mode, so you'd always have to use watch in-progress recordings.
