@locomot1f -- I did use that py, then I tried the whole addon from your github with the same results.
I am happy just to ignore the "Replay All" button.

I guess Charter must've changed that in the last week. It worked fine for me last weekend, but no longer works today. If anyone else has Charter internet (but not TV) and it works for them, I'd be happy to hear from you!

EDIT: Just tried logging into a VPN I have for work (at a University that has WatchESPN access) and it works. So it must be a new authentication setup at Charter.

I'm going to sound stupid here... How do I update the PY? Uninstall ESPN and reinstall?

Videos don't seem to be playing for me, does anyone else have this issue?

Yes live games don't work for me and only replays work

I can't even play replays. So you're telling me you have the version that is in the repos and it will play replays fine for you? If so that's great but I'm so confused why it is working for you and not for me. Lol I know I'm the person who submitted this to the repo and started this thread but my work on the addon is minimal and I barely understand it enough to manage it. Sad

So I went to my windows computer and it worked fine lol. Even the live streams. If anyone else is having issues on Linux please post about it. Otherwise I'm just going to call it a fluke with however my system is configured. I just submitted a update to fix the Replay All section, big thanks to Locomot1f. He is the one that fixed it and sent me a pull request on my github page.

Thanks locomot1f for the info. I'm just glad it is working I was concerned for a bit there. Now off to get the live streams on my iTBN addon working again. Just had a breakthrough by using Wireshark on my Android to observe the behavior of their app Big Grin

Is there any work being done to get authentication working so we can watch non ESPN3 programming via this addon?

Not able to get anything on linux today, so here's a link to my log:

Running Gotham, this was working yesterday, but today - nothing. Sad

FWIW, I have another linux system still running Frodo, and it was working yesterday too, but not getting any streams to work today. I can post a log from that one too if you think it would be worth looking at.

Edit: I'm on Time Warner cable internet.

hmmm.... @MetalChris, seems to be the same error as @LuNaTiX is getting.

really not sure what to say.

just to cover the bases:
1) can you watch ANY streams (different sports)? Replays?
2) have you been keeping up with the librtmp updates?
3) do you have a Windows machine to try, like @Romans?

TWC strikes again!
i only say this, 'cause i keep seeing this line:
Code:
if not authstatus.find('successstatus'):

@MetalChris and / or @ Lunatix,

can you put this url in your browser, and copy / paste the xml results.
https://espn-ws.bamnetworks.com/pubajaxw...d=domestic

should look something like this:
http://pastebin.com/Np3wYumv

(2014-09-13, 16:22)poopyurinal Wrote: This plugin seems to have stopped working for me in the last week or so. It doesn't work on any of my machines. I can browse properly (at least what I've tried, mostly the 10-day replay area) and everything seems fine until I start the stream. I immediately get a "script failed" error. Debug log here: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=292313

When I try to watch via watchespn in my browser, it not makes me authenticate even for ESPN 3 programming, which I think is new. I thought it just used to be based on the IP address for ESPN 3, but maybe I'm just confused? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

same for you, @poopyurinal...
what does this url give you:
