Damn. I'm not very good at debugging, so I can't really make heads or tails of what's going on in the log you've uploaded.
Just to be clear, are you specifying your affiliate id and swid in the default.py file? This was a suggested fix for the original addon, but never worked for me. I had to follow
this link after logging in to watchespn.com and save it as my userdata.xml file, and then modify the affiliate id there. I also had to create a new account at watchespn.com for this version of the addon since I could not remember my login info from the first time. Not sure if that had anything to do with it working for me or not, but might be worth a try. Also, the userdata.xml file should be saved in all lower case (not userData.xml), no caps. The file should be saved in your xbmc/userdata/addon_data/plugin.video.espn_3 folder

hope this helps people.
Apparently it was not helpful. But I struggled with getting the original addon to work and creating and modifying the userdata.xml was the key for me. Maybe it can still be helpful for some users.
I have made a slight tweak to this version of the addon. The menus in this version display only the date for all events, while the original version of the addon displayed the start times for live and upcoming events. Knowing nothing about python, it took me an hour or so, but I was able to get the menus to display the start time without date for live events, the date and start time for upcoming events, and the date only for replays. I can upload or forward you a copy of my modifications if you'd like to incorporate them into this version of the addon.
Thanks again to you and
Romans I XVI for taking over this addon. While I was still able to watch live events on the old version, replays did not work. With this version I am not only able to watch live events, but also replays of events I've missed, or was unable to catch live. Now I can keep up with my CFL games and college football any day of the week.
