Win Set the default view of add-ons (programmatically)
#1
Hello everyone

Does anyone know if it is possible to set the default view of an add-on programmatically, as opposed to doing it manually (maybe by editing the .xml).

For example I would like to set the CBS News add-on to display in infopanel by default.

If i change the view setting manually, this only changes the view for the first page. When I then go to the second page the view is restored to the standard setting.

I know that some add-ons now include this in the add-on's configuration, and a skin specific number is used to establish what view is used, so I have an idea that this may be possible, but I have no idea how to actually do it.

The add-ons that I would like to modify are 8Tracks (infowall), BBC iPlayer (Episode) CBS News (infopanel), Fox News (infopanel), LaSchon.de (infowall) and BestOfYoutube (infowall).

As additional information I am using Windows 7 Home Premium, XBMC Frodo and Aeon Nox 4.1.9

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Matt
