Hey guys! I was feeling pretty bored today, so I decided to open Photoshop and throw some mockups of a design that is based on a cable STB over here, of which I always enjoyed the layout. I always imagined having XBMC with it, it would be something like this:

I am not a talented Skinner or Photoshopper, I did this for fun and maybe it will inspire someone or so

Interesting design, shame we can't do those 'slide and hide' animations though.

We can do do one on a static backdrop not with a video playing or two into the centre.

How do you make an image appear/disappear like that from a defined line?

I tried having an image inside a panel container and using a slide animation on the image thinking that it would "disappear" when out of bounds of the panel's size, but it didn't work ....the image slides and stays visible..

Sorry, I just reread the thread having seen it several days ago. From Hitcher's comment, it looks like we can't do the slide and hide ... so I'm presuming Ronie's example uses two images for the backdrop, with one being the overlay giving the illusion of the slide and hide? shame
