Help with organizing DVD collections
#1
Hi everyone

I've been trying to organize my files so that they can be read by XBMC and I'm having an issue I'd love some assistance with.

I've successfully organized ll my films and tv shows, but the one are I'm having trouble is DVD collection that span multiple discs. These are specialty items, such as the Director's Series (http://www.palmpictures.com/director.html), the Looney Tunes Golden Collection (http://www.amazon.com/Looney-Tunes-Golde...B005NFJAQC) or the Walt Disney Treasures (http://www.amazon.com/Walt-Disney-Treasu...VNMD8TZEHL).

Most of them are not categorized in imdb or thetvdb and the way they are organized by disc is not straightforward. For example, the Director's Series contains bonus discs and updated editions, and the disney treasures are a combo or tv shows, cartoon shorts and movies.

So I would love your expert advice on how to best organize them so that they are correctly displayed in xbmc. I do not mind doing some manual .nfo editing, but then how would be the best way to organize them in folders?

Thanks in advance!

Do you know the "sorttitle"-Tag in .nfo-files?

http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=NFO...Movie_sets

So you can edit the nfo file and paste a <sorttitle>disk 1</sorttitle> line in. This has to be done in every movie of this set and should be named different (Disk 1, Disk 2 etc..). After this you have to refresh the movie information for every movie which belongs to the set and then the movies should appear in the correct way in their own sets. You can also call the "sorttitle" to "1", "2", "3" etc.....

Take the "Die Hard- Collection" for example. In this set you name the first "Die Hard 1", the second "Die Hard 2"......
