Anyone ? Do i need to setup any h/w for this to work or does it work without any modifications to Pi.
My Sony TV specs say it is HDMI-CEC compatible. I am confused.. would like to get this to work if possible.
Any help is appreciated.

On the TV have you turned on "HDMI Control" under "HDMI Settings"?

Have you tried a different HDMI cable? I had this problem with a Sony TV and a better quality HDMI cable fixed the problem.

Yes i did try with another HDMI cable that i had but it's still the same. When i went into external inputs on my Sony screen i see the RPi listed but when i
connect it fails. Do u mind telling the HDMI cable that works and where u bought it.

Then, just TRY another HDMI cable, in case there is something wrong with yours.

Sometimes, it just doesn't work right.

Double, are you enable the CEC in the RPI? I have the same problem at first connection, enable CEC and everything works.
