xbmc will not remember last position in video

All has been well until today when XBMC (12.3) suddenly can not remember the last position in a previously saved video. It is one of 4 systems running xbmc using a shared database and this one refuses to remember a saved position done by one of the other systems. Short of uninstalling and setting it back up what should I check?

Never mind.....I decided to an uninstall (leaving the symbolic links to advancedsettings.xml and my thumbnails folder), registry clean and deleted any left over directories and did a fresh reinstall. That solved the issue.
