I would love to install android boxes in my house but I am having no luck running live tv in xbmc under my android phone or tablet.

Any links to a good thread or write up is appreciated.

Yes and no. Most (I think) of the PVR plugins work in Android. However if you're in the US then your TV is encoded in MPEG2 which is hit or miss with Android. Many (probably "most") Android devices do not support hardware-based MPEG2 decoding which means they will struggle with high definition MPEG2. I have three devices and none of them will play 1080 Live TV without major stuttering. Two of them handle 720p pretty well. Unfortunately my channel lineup is a blend of the two, so it's somewhat unreliable.

Ah thank you for your quick response. It feels good not to drag things out. I will continue using a blend of RPi and win7 for my home setup
