With Windows Media Center, one of the cool options was the ability to "speed" watch TV at twice the normal speed with the audio pitch adjusted to sound nearly normal.
This means we could watch twice the amount of TV in half the time. (nice once in awhile on certain types of shows)
Is some type of speed watching possible in XBMC now or in the future?
For reference, I was quite active in this old thread where the feature stuttered a bit on under powered HD4000 Intel HD Graphics systems.

Here's a video example I uploaded. You'll see the video on the left is much smoother (NVidia) vs the the right (HD 4000)
Basically I played both recordings a the same time for comparison.
