I used to use NextPVR with XBMC on my HTPC, but I had lot of trouble with it, from no EPG to not detecting any analog channels, and finally it stopped working all together with a message that it cannot find capture device. I switched to ServerWMC and haven't had any trouble with it at all, but when in XBMC I keep getting notifications "NextPVR connection lost" I have tried Disabling and Uninstalling the NextPVR Add-On but it always return the next time XBMC is started. I know I can turn off the notifications but Why won't it stay disabled/uninstalled?

UAT might be getting int the way. The simplest way might be to install a new version of XBMC (even the same one you are running) and don't select NextPVR as an option.

Ok, will I have to readjust all my settings, or are they saved on a re-install?

I don't know how pvr.wmc works, NextPVR settings would be saved after a reinstall.
