Any time I have to do a reinstall of Windows or update XBMC I lose the watched movies and tv shows. What is the easiest way to preserve the watched moves and tv shows?

I use the trakt addon. Basically you set up an account on their website and they will keep track of TV shows and movies you watch and re-sync them with any player you use that has the addon installed.

Wait, I think there's a bigger issue here if updating XBMC causes you to lose watched status...

Store your database in mysql on a stable machine that you aren't continually f***ing with Wink
