Broken here too. About a week ago I started getting script errors. We haven't been able to stream anything at Fox News since then.

Here we are after almost one month since this addon does not work anymore. I used to use this one quite often... What I understand, this addon is part of so-called "official XBMC addons" but it is not supported at all. How come after one month someone who says is supporting this, did not looked into it to update the files??

I too am missing this plugin.

I submitted a bug report on the code here: https://code.google.com/p/foxnews-xbmc/issues/list

It looks like relatively simple python code, for someone who knows python.

I tried to fix it myself, but I'm far from a beginner in python and don't really know what the heck is wrong.

I do know that the website change seems significant, which may be reason the update/fix is delayed or abandoned.

If nothing else it would be nice to have the bug acknowledged, or at least some update on the plugin's status.

If anyone else knows python and can fix it, perhaps they should comment on the bug report with the fix or make a whole new repo.

Hope to hear something soon.

I downloaded the zip and manually updated my XBMC Plugin. Works!

Broken again, funny worked flawless on the 2nd of September. 3rd of September only one link kinda sorta maybe, not really working. Curious, FOX, at least on Mashup is far from the only link that does not work. What is the thought here? Put it on the screen so that it looks impressive for the newbies? This was the primary reason I cut the cable. Now I find out that if I put windoz up on the screen, log ino HULK USA, or Baquiworld. I can get FOX without the hassle of XBMC. (I am sure someone is going to take a shot at me for this) Don't really give a D@**! Where I come from, if you are responsible for a piece of work, you do your best to make it work without excuses. In the past year I've seen more excuses for XBMC and Openelec than there are fire ants in the ground.


I always thought that XBMC and its derivatives had the hopes that one day it might become "THE" place to goto for everyone. I know there are programmers putting blood sweat and tears into this. Who is letting them down, who is letting us down.,

1) I test the addons I write/maintain typically once a week and if you look through my threads you'll realize that I'm fairly prompt at addressing issues brought to my attention.

2) This addon works for me.

3) I would suggest some further reading about a) forum rules and discussion of banned addons, b) the proper way to report a problem, including the uploading of a error log to pastebin or xbmclogs, and c) a quick google on civility and manners.

EDIT: Actually after re-reading the post above, I don't think you are even referring to the Fox News addon. So an additional suggestion: d) learn to post in the correct thread and have another look at suggestion a).
