Live TV freezing after 468MB .TS file size
#1
Hey all,

I've been reading posts for a while trying to get my HTPC setup working and so far have been able to overcome almost all my issues with the help of a little google searching. I've hit a roadblock and I was hoping someone could help.

I am running the latest release of XBMC (12.3) with the NPVR (3.1.1) back end using 2 hauppauge HD PVR2's as the capturing devices. Whenever I watch live TV via XBMC it freezes at about the 6:30 minute mark consistently.

Through poking around I have found that the .TS file size seems to max out at 468MB where it then tries to create a new .TS file. During this transition the HDPVR2 seems to lose connection and becomes unstable. It resets itself and will be usable again if I try to view live TV again, but the process will repeat every 6.5 minutes. I grabbed a log of the problem and have posted it:

I believe it happens around the 13:31:XX mark of the logs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

Jim

Couple things:

1. It's actually the 13:27:XX mark in the log.

2. The 468MB file size seems to correspond with the length of video.

Sounds like the ~7 minute rolling file issue http://forums.gbpvr.com/showthread.php?5...-from-npvr

Martin,

Yup, looks pretty similar indeed. I'll keep an eye out on that thread and maybe it will be fixed with 3.2? Thanks for linking the thread, I somehow missed it.
