Video stutter after seeking
#1
Using gotham 3/3/14, I'm seeing the video stutter, and then stop after I seek within a movie using the progress bar. The audio continues though. Here is the xbmc log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=142677 .

Try this build and see if it makes a difference:--

Beta1 has the same issue. I forgot to mention that it doesn't seem to happen after every seek.

I am still having this issue with Beta3. I am experiencing this both on an HTC One and a Nexus 7 (2012) and it seems to happen with and without hardware acceleration. Once the video stops, I can usually get it to start again by fast forwarding and then pressing play.

Sounds like the links or the addon is not set for this function or does not have it. Some do and some don't

I'm not using an add on. The media is on a samba share. I'm not seeing this issue with the same setup on Mac OS.

I have the same problem. My log file is very similar to yours.

Code:
WARNING: CRenderManager::WaitForBuffer - timeout waiting for buffer
WARNING: CDVDMessageQueue(video)::Get - asked for new data packet, with nothing available

Every time I seek and stutters these two lines also appear on my log. This happens only on seek because I managed to watch 3 episodes from a series in a row without a problem. Resume on last point also works well. It shouldn't be an audio problem as I tried a video file without audio track and the problem continues. Tried mp4 and mkv files with h264 video tracks.

Problem only occurs with Mediacodec as decoder thought. Using Lilbstagefright or software decoding (disabling libstagefright and Mediacodec) I dont' have this problem.
