Gotham Beta TESTING THREAD
Since I'm on Gotham, my mapped drives won't show up in XBMC.
I'm on Windows 8.1 and XBMC Gotham 13 Beta 3.
Someone with the same problem?

Well I found a way to fix my path substitution issue with the recent Gotham betas/nightlies by changing the paths from nfs to smb.

Doesn't work:
<to>nfs://192.168.0.163/nfs/Public/Software/Programs/XBMC/userdata/sources.xml</to>

Works:
<to>smb://MYBOOKLIVE/Public/Software/Programs/XBMC/userdata/sources.xml</to>

I keep these files named as *-poster.jpg, poster.jpg, *-fanart.jpg, fanart.jpg for all my movies. Beta 1 can get the files, bug beta 2 don't:

beta 1: http://i.imgur.com/nz9VTzw.jpg

beta 2: http://i.imgur.com/pHPk1lo.png

(edit) example of a file dir: http://i.imgur.com/JLQqb7F.png

I have 5 box, being 2 in windows (only for test) and 3 Linux. All 3 linux boxes can get the files, but not the 2 running windows. Can't find anything useful in log...

Also, after a rebuild in my collection, I notice that the option "dateadded" in advancedsettings doesn't work anymore. Looks like was broken in beta 2 (i'm 99% sure it was working in beta 1). It is stuck in <dateadded>0</dateadded>. Even setting to 1, still using the current datetime when adding a video.

Cheers.

Yes, I can confirm that many problems are solved by switching nfs sources to cifs/smb. Including missing images in Windows (posters, fanart etc.) and the dateadded problem (linux and windows): http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=189286

Cheers.

Has anyone else had pops/buzzing when playing music playlists? I tried Beta 3 and for the most part I am very happy. However, when playing mp3 playlists using Directsound SPDIF (Win 7 32-bit, E8200, nforce 7300) I get popping and buzzing when a new song starts. This doesn't happen when playing mp3s manually.

I also tried the android version on my tablet and I can't get the Last.fm plugin to run. It gives an error on startup (the plugin works fine on my HTPC).

These two albums cause openelc beta 4 to crash when scanning into the music library

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1088...20Cale.zip
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1088...%20Bad.zip

Also, if you add a music folder 'Music' to your library which has 3 sub folder, One, Two, Three, then scan to the library. Then, delete folder Three and clean your library - it leaves all the contents of Three in the library with no way to get them out it seems. It says 'cleaning paths' during the clean process but this content stubbornly remains...
Addons I wrote &/or maintain:
OzWeather (Australian BOM weather) | Check Previous Episode | Playback Resumer | Unpause Jumpback | XSqueezeDisplay | (Legacy - XSqueeze & XZen)
Sorry, no help w/out a *full debug log*.

Hi all,
I have been using XMBC 13.0-Beta 1 Git: 20140303 - 128426f. My device is OUYA.
Here is the problem, when loading subtitle from the network, subtitle never appeared if using UPnP Devices.
Can anyone confirm this problem?
Thanks.

Hello, I have tried all 3 beta releases of Gotham and the hardware acceleration is broken for me playing H264 MKVs, causing audio with a black screen followed by a crash when playing, it worked fine in Eden. A debug log is available at http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=166777.

Hi All,

I have an issue with the resume playback function which seems to be isolated to recorded live TV files only. For shows which have been partially watched, the 'Resume from...]' option doesn't seem to work any more. The correct time to resume at is displayed, but the playback resumes from the beginning. The bookmark for the resume appears to be created as per normal. However, in the Live TV - Recordings list, the (play) triangle/arrow which usually indicates that a video hasn't been watched completely also doesn't show up.

For files within the Videos library (Movies, TV Shows), the function works as normal.

For reference, I am running XBMC 13-BETA3 Git:20140328-2dcc855 on Windows 7 SP1 64-bit. I am using ArgusTV 2.2.2 as the backend PVR service.

I've attached a log where I start playing a show, navigate to approximately halfway through and then stop the show before attempting to resume: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=166914.

Has anyone else had a similar problem? Is this a bug with v13, as this works on v12.

Thanks

Hmm... Mixed results with Xbmc Gotham beta 3. It seems one step forward two steps back in terms of dnla and upnp support.

Airplay via doubletwist now works.
Airplay via Airstream no longer works.
Upnp from subsonic still doesn't work.
Library management via yatse remote control is broken.

I'm running xbmc on android 4.04 dedicated set top box. Subsonic is 4.9 running on Ubuntu 11.10 headless. All Android apps are latest store versions and run from galaxy tab 3 8.0

I'll go back to beta 2 for now.

Are any EDL (wiki)s being generated for those files to cut commercials? If so, there's a known issue being looked at about EDLs being broken in Gotham.

EDIT: Never mind. The debug log doesn't seem to show any EDL files.

For some time now it seems the Windows requirements for hardware video decoding is at least Windows 7. I don't know when this specifically changed, if it did change.

I don't modify any of the files after recording currently.

I now have a v12 installed on the same machine and can confirm that the function works there, but not on v13.
